The central feature of Lloyd Hotel is its Cultural Embassy. The mission of the Embassy is to open up Dutch art, culture and science for the guests of the hotel. At the same time the Embassy aims to reveal the cultural riches of the guests and make it accessible for a Dutch public.The Embassy uses a wide definition of culture which includes high art and pop culture, social developments and science, underground artists and those who are established, individuals and institutions.

Room information

All 117 rooms in the Lloyd Hotel – ranging from one to five stars – offer a different experience. These entail a difference in design, surface area and therefore rate. Much attention has been given to the interior of the rooms. A number of exciting Dutch Designers (Claudy Jongstra, Hella Jongerius, De Bazel, Marcel Wanders, Richard Hutten, to name but a few) have created several of the furniture pieces. Food & Beverage

Restaurant Snel (brisk) - In restaurant Snel you can order all dishes in a small or larger portion. You can also come and pick up your food to take with you to the room or to take home.

The lobby - During dinner, part of the lobby on the ground floor will be used as a fast restaurant. Higher up in the building, sufficient quiet space will remain.

Bar - The bar is open till 1 am

Area information

The Lloyd Hotel is very well situated; it is located in the fashionable Eastern Docklands near the city centre, only 5 minutes by tram from Central Station. Access from the ring-road is easy and many rooms offer lovely views over the water. The hotel has paid parking facilities in a nearby parking garage. There is also plenty of space in front of the hotel if you are interested in getting there by boat.

Travel information

By car, approaching from the A10 ring road:
- Take the exit for S114 (Zeeburg/Centrum/Artis) and follow the signs for the centre.
- This will lead you into the Piet Hein tunnel, keep to the right hand lane. When you exit the tunnel turn right at the lights, onto the Piet Heinkade.
- Turn right at the first lights. The road takes a sharp turn to the right, you are now on the Oostelijke Handelskade.
- If you wish to park in the parking garage, turn right into the garage after the 2nd building. If not, keep going straight ahead along the Oostelijke Handelskade. The Lloyd Hotel is located 400 metres along on the right hand side.

Public transport from Central Station:
The express tram or sneltram number 26 will go as far as IJburg. Get on at Central Station and get off at the 3rd stop, called Rietlandpark (100 metres from the Lloyd Hotel).

If cancelled up to 1 day before the date of arrival, no fee will be charged.
If cancelled later, 50 percent of the first night will be charged.
